WHO WE ARE NOT:
-A bible Study… but, we study the bible
-A small group… but, we are a group that is relatively small
-A meeting/event… but, we regularly meet
-A support group… but, we do support each other
WHO WE ARE:
-Disciples of Jesus who get our identity from God as a Family of Missionary Servants.
-Family = because God is our Father
-Missionaries = because the Spirit empowers us
-Servants = because Christ is our King
Gospel Centered: we desire to live our lives around the reality of what God has done for us in Jesus, what God is doing in us by the Spirit, and what God promises to do for us at His return
Worship Driven: we desire to live all of life as a community that loves and worships God
Community Focused: we desire to live as a family of believers in Jesus
Missionally Minded: A sense of community is often built by doing things together. It is as we orient ourselves outwards that our inner communal life is strengthened. Community is not to be self-indulgent. We are Response Group with a mission to take that Gospel to the lost.
A Gospel Community has a common identity with a commitment to pastoring one another with the Gospel and working together to witness to Christ in their neighborhood. The Gospel Community is the core unit of church life, the place where evangelism, pastoral care, discipleship and life take place.
